Welcome to 14-18 Somme Chambres d’Hôtes,
ABOUT OUR B&B
The B&B has 5 Rooms; 3 with en-suite bathrooms and 2 with shared bathrooms. All rooms have two single beds, and can be booked for single or double occupancy. Breakfast is included in the price. We can also offer a three-course meal for a small price. For the consumption of breakfast and dinner we have a beautiful guestroom and you can relax in our sunny conservatory.
BEAUCOURT-SUR-L’ANCRE
Beaucourt-sur-l’Ancre is in the middle of the battlefields of the Somme offensive of 1916. This is still visible at our location; over the horizon is the Monument to the Missing of Thiepval and the Thiepval Ridge with the infamous Schwaben Redoubt. Beaucourt itself was captured by the Royal Naval Division in November 1916, which is still remembered by their memorial in the village.
Other famous sites are a stone’s throw away, including: the Ulster Tower, Serre, the Hawthorne Crater, the Newfoundland Memorial Park, Delville Wood and Lochnagar Crater
Apart from World War I, the area offers many other attractions such as the Somme Steam Train and the cities of Arras and Amiens.
The area is ideal for hiking, biking and motoring, depending on the weather, of course.
